About Mutelocus
Mutelocus publishes one thing: a five-step course for people in Australia who are about to open their first online PC game account. This page sets out who publishes it, how it was written, and what it is paid for.
Unit 07-1
The publisher
Mutelocus is published by Haubergson Invest s.r.o., a company registered in the Czech Republic.

Unit 07-2
How the course was structured
The course was built backwards from a single question: what does somebody actually need to know, in what order, between "a friend mentioned this game" and "I have an account and I know what it will cost me". That produced five steps, each one ending at a point where a reader could reasonably stop for a week.
The sequence is deliberate. Money comes first, because a yearly figure written before you want anything is worth more than one written after. Hardware comes second, because there is no point reading a terms page for a game your computer will not run. The terms come third, while you are still able to walk away cheaply. Registration comes fourth. The months afterwards come fifth, because that is where the actual cost of this category lives.
Each step ends in a checklist rather than a quiz or a score. There is nothing to pass, nothing to enrol in, no certificate and no record of who has read what.
Unit 07-3
What the sources are
Three kinds of claim appear in the course, and each is handled differently.
Claims about Australian law, regulators and classification link to the responsible body's own website rather than to a summary: the ACCC for consumer guarantees, the OAIC for privacy, the Australian Classification Board for game classification, the eSafety Commissioner for online safety, the ACSC for passphrases and multi-factor authentication, and Scamwatch for reporting scams. We do not restate a figure, threshold or rating from those sites, because they change and the source is a click away.
Claims about the product used as an example come only from what its affiliate programme publishes. Where that source does not say something — pricing, system requirements, refund position — the course says the vendor does not state it and sends you to the vendor. We have no inside information and no relationship with the publisher of any game.
Everything else is general guidance about the category, written as general guidance and not dressed up as measurement. There are no benchmarks here, no test results, no survey figures and no awards, because we have not run any tests and have not received any awards.
Unit 07-4
The commercial relationship, stated plainly
This site earns money from affiliate links. The game used as the worked example throughout the course, World of Tanks, is the product those links point to, and the affiliate network that operates the link pays Haubergson Invest s.r.o. a commission when a reader follows one and then creates and activates an account.
So yes: the product that appears as the example is a product we have a commercial relationship with. Saying that clearly is more useful than pretending to a neutrality the arrangement does not support. What the arrangement does not do is decide the content. The cautions in steps 1, 3 and 5 are the ones we would write anyway, the course repeatedly tells you that zero spending is a valid outcome, and every step can be completed without following the link.
The full explanation of how the funding works, including where the links appear, is on the Affiliate Disclosure page.
Unit 07-5
How often it is reviewed
The course is reviewed twice a year, and additionally whenever one of the Australian sources it relies on changes in a way that affects what a step says. The review covers four things: that every outbound link still resolves, that the regulator descriptions are still accurate, that nothing in the steps has been overtaken by a change in the category, and that the legal pages still match what the site actually does.
The date of the most recent review appears in the footer of every page, and the effective date on each legal page is updated whenever that page changes. If you find something out of date or wrong, write to info@mutelocus.online and say which page it is on.
Unit 07-6
What this site is not
It is not an official, authorised or partner site for any game or publisher. It is not a news outlet and does not report news. It is not a download site; nothing is distributed from here. It is not accredited training and nothing here is a qualification. It collects no personal information, has no accounts and sends no email to anybody who has not written to it first. The Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy set out exactly what that means in practice.
